    Default beretta 92fs trade

I have an opportunity to trade my 92FS for 1000 rds remington 223 + 1000 rds wolf polymer 223 + 10 30 rd ar mags. Would you do it? I think the value of ammo and mags at present day prices should exceed the value of the Beretta. The beretta is in very good condition, some wear, it was purchased new in 1990.
Yes, I have 2 AR15's and a fair amount of ammo and mags already

I dunno man, my 92FS is probably the least used handgun in my collection, yet despite that fact I have no desire to sell it or any other infrequently-used gun that I own. So unless you reeeeeeeally like shooting your ARs and absolutely despise your Beretta's guts, I say don't sell yours either.

Just keep in mind that ammo will come and ammo will go and once it goes it's gone, but that Beretta will likely last your whole life and just maybe you'll want to shoot it again some day. I can't tell you how many times I hear stories about the regret that people have after selling a particular gun.

The deciding factor for me would be what other pistols you might possess. As you described the deal I would not do it. I love Beretta's BTW. If you have other pistols that you actually prefer to shoot and would not lose the type or caliber I would do it.

If you're looking strictly on a monetary basis, then that's a good deal for you. I figure 1k RP .223 is worth at least $350 and the Wolf stuff is worth at least $150. Throw in 10 mags at about $10/piece and you have $600 worth of goodies. That's close to the price of a new 92FS INOX so I'd say that's a winner.
    ...
That being said, I don't know what your financial situation looks like but I look at firearms and accessories/ammo as 2 very different things. Accessories and ammo come and go, but a firearm is forever! I wouldn't cry if a shot 2k of .223 (OK, maybe a would just a little bit...) but I would if I had to get rid of my Beretta. Regardless of price. Make sense?
    I own guns!

While I do not oppose idea of trading gun, trading for ammo is just not right.
I traded my Inox 92FS with rare silver mags for my Para, but thats gun for gun.
Get a reloader. Keep the gun.

    Think of it this way.

According to KBB, my daily beater Geo is worth $1200.
I need new tire for my Roush, which 4 tires comes to $1408(One I want. I could get them little cheaper). thats not including mount/Balance

Would I trade my Geo for it if they say even up? NO

    Another DON'T DO IT!
Once the ammo is shot, you'll have nothing. You said that you already have some ammo, so try to buy a case of ammo every month or two, depending on how long it takes to save up the spare cash for it.
I think you'd be sorry down the road.
