    Default AR Mags

Hey everyone... I'm not sure whether this had been asked before or not, but here it is:
I'm looking to buy a few (4-5?) 30 round mags for my Bushmaster M4gery... What's a good brand to go with?? I hear there are different followers that people seem to prefer - what's good and why? And what's the deal with polymer mags? Are they worth it, or just a waste of time/money?
I do have limited budget.. so where can I get the better deals? I know a lot of times, you get what you pay for, but I'm not looking for really expensive "custom" ones, and I'm not a competition shooter... so it just needs to work, be reliable, and AFFORDABLE.... :-P Most of them seem to be around $12-16, right? Or is that just the lower end stuff?
Thanks in advance, guys & gals!

Nothing wrong with the P-MAGS from magpul! I use these before any of my other USGI mags. The only mags that are WORLDS BETTER are the HK mags, which if you buy a couple, and load them, you will realize how much better they are than any other mag out there!

So if you are looking to buy now, at $13 per, the P-mags are a great option and the one to buy. There is a list of USGI mags on AR-15 somewhere that explains the rest of them. If you are looking to buy the absolute best, you won't be disappointed with HK.

Try CProducts or 44mag.com for USG aluminum mags. I recommend the gen II MagPul followers.

The PMags are outstanding and only a few dollars more.

H&K magazines are NOT recommended - unless you like paying extra for mags that will not only break themselves, but may break your AR as well.

Interesting. I haven't heard that the HK mags break AR's. In fact, I know a bunch of people in the army who live by H&K mags, and hk mags ONLY. What exactly happens? They are DEFINITELY my favorites.

This one is really picking my brain. My friend, and his entire Marine unit, all bought a crap load of HK mags (as well as other friends who are army infantry). I have NEVER heard of one bad word about them. So, impatiently, I am waiting.

Here's a little video on ridiculous mag testing....USGI, HK, and PMAG's "tested."

    Wink Re: AR Mags

Everyone should leave their Mags laying on the ground so that a truck can run them over.
If ones only reason for buying the Magpul P-Mags is because they have this fear being run over by a truck. They need to be extra careful when walking near any trucks.
