Shot shells, really safe for pistols?

I have seen these a few times as of late and really want to try them. However, i'm concerned that they may damage my PX4 barrel. Any cause for concern or should I feel free to experiment?

Nope, no problem. They are lead shot and not very powerfull.
I've used them for years on pests/snakes in 38/357, 45acp, 44mag

shot shells come in 9mm and 40sw?

I know I have seen them for 9mm, not sure about 40S&W.

I have seen them in many calibers, although the ones I tried in a 9mm did not cylce the round. Also known as Snake shot, they are usefull if you only need one shot to kill a snake or other rodent around the house, but of little use for repeated shots unless you have a revolver.
