Default Touching up the frame of a pistol

Long story short, lent my M9 to my brother for a week or so and it came back with a few minor scratches. It's not a big deal, I could really probably just pretend they're not there but is there anything I can use without stripping the finish off of the frame? You know how you scuff a boot, polish it out with some Kiwi and make it look brand new? That's kind of what I'm looking for. Just not a boot polish . . . Thoughts?

Birchwood Casey makes pens that are for this. Midway or Brownell's sell them for about $7

These pens work good as long as the surface area is completly clean & free of oils.

If you go with a touch up pen, make sure it is for Aluminum, the regular blue touch up pens won't work right.

If they are just tiny thin scratches, try a black Sharpie.

The super black pen works great and blends well if you run a silicone cloth or lube patch over it after it dries. I've used this on my Sig and you can't even tell.

I have one of those. I'm not sure how it would match the finish of the gun . . . Maybe I'll try in on the inside of the slide before I try it on the outside.

Also keep in mind that Birchwood Casey sells 2 types one for Flat black finishes and one for high gloss finishes.
