Thumbs up Great 1911 trigger from Stoney Creek!

    Hey all,

just picked up my Kimber TLE II that I dropped off like Christmas eve at Stoney Creek Outfitters in Reading. After talking to Rob Horst there, he convinced me to use existing MIM parts, saying that I didn't like the way the trigger turned out, he would refund my money and do another job with C&S parts for FREE!

Picked it up today, and I have to say, I am more than impressed! He managed to make my Kimber feel as good as my Les Baer trigger! This has actually tightened up my groups, as the trigger breaks more crisply and resets perfectly! If anyone ever shoots around here and would like to try the work, you're welcome to. His price was silly cheap, and he's a man of his word. I recommend for anything!

Only con: Now I have to send him all my stuff for him to work on!

    Steve

I can second this, I have had him butter up two of my 1911's. Just don't let Rob shoot your pistol, he will hurt your feelings

yeah, I thought my new sights were off, and he showed me it was me

then gave me a free lesson on a weird advanced trigger finger use and my groups improved. it will take some getting used to, but he's great!

I went there on a Monday and they were closed. His hours said they were open but no one was there.

    Confused...

Depending on the Weather they may of opened late or were closed. If the weather is marginal give them a call first. I was there Thursday to get my weekly Range time in. Yeah for a indoor range with a foot of snow and ice on the ground.

I just joined their range a couple of days ago and that's one of the main reasons I joined. Not to mention that every time I have gone in there I was treated with nothing but the utmost courtesy and respect! There was a woman in there having an issue with her crimson trace and they were more than happy to adjust it and help her on the range. I think that they have done a marvelous job providing us a safe, comfortable place to do business! Their prices are very good and their knowledge is excellent. I look forward to making all of my purchases there in the future!
