Default Things Every AR Owner Should Own

    Hey everyone,

I'm new to the AR world and was wondering if there is a go-to list of sorts of accessories or tools that every owner should have. Anything and everything that you guys find useful would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Magpul pmags.
    Front sight adjustment tool
    Cleaning kit
Stripper clip "spoons" or whatever you want to call them
A GOOD sling. Check out urban ERT slings
    Obviously tons of ammo

What are you using it for? Competition, plinking, zombie apocalypse? That will determine what else you need. But everything above is mandatory.

Here are a few things I keep around, other things you will find along the way:

    http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=1..._15_Spring_Kit
    http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=1.../AR_15_Pin_Kit
Or this is even better, probably everything you might ever need:
    http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=3...IELD_PARTS_KIT

and this if you plan on doing your own repairs/mods:
    http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=1..._15_Multi_Tool

As for goodies, I could not do without a Hogue grip, and I like the KNS Precision push button take down/pivot pins.

Here is a free wish book:
    http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=4.../AR_15_Catalog

I only put links to Brownells since I have the stock numbers handy, these parts can be found many other places as well, when it comes to AR parts & accessories, it pays to shop around.
    Some good places are:
    http://www.aimsurplus.com
    http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php
    http://dsgarms.com
    http://www.centerfiresystems.com
    http://www.makosecurity.com
    http://blackrifleworks.com/index.php
    http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com

    And thousands of others...

    Good luck.
