Default NHRPC: Practical & Precision Rifle Jan 16th NJSP Patrol Rifle Q-Course

    Hi guys,

We're going to run the NJSP Patrol Rifle Course for the first time every on the 16th.

This is different than the CQB CoF we ran in the past.

It goes out to 100Y and is otherwise similar to the CQB CoF except there is more position shooting, and more time allotted to get the shots off.

It's a lot of fun and is a great mix of close up as well as mid range rifle work.

60 rounds per run. You can register more than once if you want to shoot in different or the same classes.

    Kalashnikov / Irons
    Red Dot / CCO
    Magnified Optic of any kind

We run it as a six shooter team line, but It's one shooter at a time firing for individual score, so it's a great one to come out and try if you are new to the sport. You will get to see other people perform the drills first so you will know exactly what to do.

Online registration is required. Please note that we are enforcing the no-show / late cancel rule strictly for 2011. We had to turn away a LOT of shooters this year in popular matches. It's understandable things happen, but please man-up and fork out the modest match fee we charge. If we are to avoid the hassle of outright pre-payment every month, you gotta work with us on this.

Registration for any NHRPC match is available under the practical & precision rifle section:

There will probably be (staff dependent) a side precision match consisting of all steel and movers / popups.

I'm signed up and looking forward to it! So what is the score the NJSP requires to "pass" the course from last month? Or do they work on more of a curve?

Basically 80% point score and under par.

The same for the entry/CQB, pistol, shotgun, slug, and all the night courses.

We haven't been shooting it that way so people have been dropping points in favor of faster time. We have been using the time as part of the score not as a par. Even so, there has been some FANTASTIC shooting going on. I think the next one we will run it this way:

1 - You must qualify. The times are par times but will be kept and compiled.

2 - If you qualify, the top shooters are chosen from only the qualifiers.

    The scores are posted!
