Default Anyone familiar with Precision Research, Inc?

I think I'm almost 'done' with my AR and am looking to install a railed gas block. I looked at a couple, YHM, Adams Arms etc. but this one looks like it will be best suited for what I'm looking for, especially since it'll be the proper height with a folding sight.

Just testing the waters to see if anyone has had any negative experiences with them.

    Thanks
    Chris

PRI has been around for a little while and they make some decent products.

This one costs a bit more but is a bit nicer as well. If your set on a front sight, then this is a one stop shop. Remember, buy once, cry once.

That's a decent looking set-up, unfortunately I already picked up a set of Troy tritium sights for back-ups, I guess I might be buying and crying twice. Thank you though.

I was looking at the Adams Arms set ups but it's a decent price as well. I suppose it would make sense if I was definitely going the piston route.

I have a PRI gas block on my rifle. PRI is good to go.

I have an adams arms kit, I haven't shot it enough to rate it either way. A bunch of rifle manufacturers are using it on their factory piston guns though. The one I have is on a 6.5 grendel so I may never know if it's good or bad.

If arrrrgh15 says it good, it's good.

Adams Arms looks good, I have a kit on the upper that I'm SBR'ing. I wanted to run that a little before I invested another $300 or so into a second kit for the Colt though. Though perhaps I have that backwards?

I've been paying an awful lot of 'stupid tax' over the years and I really am trying to minimize it if I'm able to.

Thank you both for the feedback / input, I appreciate it.

It is 'stupid tax'. I'm in the first phases of the process right now, doing as much as I can from abroad (making sure I get my CLEO's approval and ordering a suppressor) and then doing all the paperwork I can in a few weeks when I return home. It's ridiculous the amount of hoops you have to jump through while paying a hefty price to get something so simple.

Anyhow, best of luck with your builds.

I can't speak for their gas block, but their customer service is good.

Blog Post: Thank You Precision Reflex, Inc. (PRI)

It's not their fault the wrench broke on me, the upper must have been assembled by a gorilla.

Thank you all for the replies. Ordered it last night, hopefully I'll have it early next week and can be 'done'.

@ animalmother - Hopefully all goes well with your paperwork, I need to go see my CLEO as well. He's usually pretty good, we've worked together on a couple issues in the past so I'm hoping it's a small hurdle.

@ Suburban - Thank you that's good to know. Good CS is getting harder and harder to come by nowadays.

Arrrrgh15 - Any chance you could send me a pic of yours installed? I just got it today and, to me, it looks backwards. Mind you, I have been wrong more than I've been right. But I thought the rail was going to extend to the hand guard instead of towards the muzzle? Damn, I wish I knew what I was doing...
