Sorry if this is a re-post but with my day off due to the snow i got a little bored, and having to unload my trunk to bring a new TV home (as well as using part of my "gear" to secure the TV [the rope]) I got this thread idea...

What type of gear do you guys have in your car?

My "set up":

- 75' of 750lb rated rope

- Gas Mask

- Glock entrenching tool (not pictured because was used to dig car out)

- Ka-Bar utility knife

- Med Kit

- (2) 3x8 non-adhesive bandages
- (1) Stethoscope
- (1) instant cold pack
- (3) 4x4 gauze sponges
- (1) 30' length of para cord
- (1) EpiPen
- (3) 2x2 gauze
- (1) wound closure tray (drape, syringe, alcohol prep pad, iodine pad)
- (1) universal rolled splint
- (2) rubber tourniquet
- (1) 4.5"x4 yard gauze roll
- (2) sterile scalpel
- (1) Tweezer
- (1) angled surgical scissor
- (1) straight sterile surgical scissor
- (1) flush syringe
- (2) 2% Chlorhexidine cloths
- (1) Stay dry ice pack (large)
- (3) field dressing drape
- (1) Roll #m cloth tape
- (1) bottle advil
- (X) various size band-aids
- (1) Insulin injection
- (X) bag of hard candy

Usually just car related gear like fluids and parts, along with 2 emergency fleece blankets, a gallon of water and a 2nd spare tire.

Throw in an unopened package of beef jerky, and a sleeping bag rated for the season upon you!

In my car's bugout backpack I have:

folding shovel
rope
commando saw (very cool thing, BTW)
hard pack of matches
lighter
pair of socks
t-shirt
bandana
toilet paper
few sanitizing wipes
0.5 oz bottle of hand sanitizer
few kula bars (note to self: check expiration)
few single serve tubes of instant coffee
compact first aid kit
small notepad with pen
head flashlight
2 bottles of water
3x100 boxes of CCI MiniMag (.22LR)
1 pack of 50 rds of 9x19

Plus couple of guns with ammo, paper clip, flashlight and pocket knife, that I carry on me. Also my toolset slipped at some point from unreliable pouch, that NRA provided with it, so it needs to be replaced. Also, a small hatchet and ka bar should be added.

But it all seems moot, since I have family and no friggin way I'm buggin out without my kids. And they usually are in close proximity to my house, where The Big BOB lives.
