Question: With me being 18, and constables can concealed carry anywhere in the union without a LTCF, Could I infact LEGALLY concealed carry if I was an elected constable or deputy? I think I may run anyways!

Don't forget to check into being a Reserve Deputy Sheriff or Police officer in your community.

But do it to serve your community not for what you can get out of it.

Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.

Actually, I have thought of doing that before, but I don't think any of the local municipality departments around me have a reserve program, and I'm assuming the Chester County Sheriff's office doesn't either because there's nothing on their website about it.

I think you'll find that most reserve officer programs ar so departments can get extra manpower to direct traffic when there's a large event in town. It's not necessarily going to entitle you to carry a gun under federal law.

Obviously, if the reserves are just fancy crossing guards, then you won't qualify for LEOSA, but if reserve officers have the same official powers as a full time officer while on duty, and are required to carry a firearm while on duty, then they would.

    OH AND BY THE WAY,
I'm sure not one of you has ever made a mistake, but to judge the group as a whole.......
I am the constable that started the post in the constable forums, I am more upset than any one I've met about gnbrotz. There are plenty of constables trying to change the system for the better. To improve the reputation of the whole.
When I see whine sessions like this, it irritates me, I understand that 2-3 members, of how many on this site, have very legitimate issues with 1-2 constables. but your acting like the anti gun crowd, 1 bad guy and make them all nut cases and the such
    END RANT.........

Who labeled all constables as a problem?
Please cite an example to your claim.

This isnt lawyering 101, it isnt stated as all, just the themes presented.

" Quite frankly, most constables are looked upon with disdain by most of the Law Enforcement community. "
I have yet to meet an officer that didn't respect me

"Now having said all of this negative stuff......I had an idea"
    "Job Requirements.........Pennsylvania residency , and a pulse"
    Yes I have a pulse.
"I sure hope not. With the limited training constables receive ,I shudder to think of them serving warrants SWAT style carrying MP5's."
There are many LEO's that state our training is more in depth than any they have received on firearms.
& further more I dont recall ( the media ) ever stating in their anti gun agenda all law abiding citizens w/ guns dont deserve them. they use the cases of disasters, misguided individuals, etc... similair to the posts I quoted above.
& why I made the post.
