    Default AR 15 Barrel Extension Ware?

    Just wanted to know if the ware I am seeing on my barrel extension is normal? I bought the gun new and have only put 300 rounds through it. Any input would be great.

    That's just the phosphate coating wearing off. Quite normal.

    Well my gun has a chrome lined chamber. Isn't that area part of the camber?

    No , that's the barrel extension. A separate part. Barrels screws into it from the front , bolt locks into it from the rear.
