it just happened to me

just happened. im headed outside to take my trash out and i see a little white car parked in front of my house. says maid with care on the side. two women get out and unload stuff. i think that they are going to my neighbors house but they head down my driveway behind my house.

i head to my basement and one of them is rattling my doorknob. i open the door and say what are you doing. oh were here to clean your house. no. go away.

grabbed my camera and shot photos of there car as they were leaving.

called the cops. they came in a few minutes and took my statement. they are going to call the company and check.

the cops said that it was probably a wrong address. maybe so but why did they go down the driveway and around the back of the house.

if i wasnt at home i wonder what would have happened.

It appears as though the Maid With Care company is a series of franchises across the country. Doesn't really mean much though, could be legit, could be someone who actually went through the trouble of having signage made to camouflage their activities.

Most people who hire these services leave a back door open so these people can get inside the house and do the job they were hired to. Its less shady than giving them a key, and even less shady than people leaving out the front door and obviously not locking it.

To which the other one would have replied..

actually none of my neighbors uses a cleaning service so they just werent on the wrong side of the street.

I had a similar incident happen to me a few years ago. There I was, home alone and a gang of kids came to my front door selling cookies. I called the police and they tell me there have been reports of this nationwide gang targeting homes across the entire country. Be careful out there!
