Default Almost robbed (and possibly stabbed) At PARX casino

So I went down to Philly park meeting two friends of mine and maybe trying to make Christmas happen for the kids if we had any luck.. Okay so long story short.

It's about 4:15 (AM) when I pull in, I park in a fairly well lit end of the lot, but far enough that it's unlikely anyone will park next to me ( I just don't like my doors dinged up. I get about a third of the way through the parking lot and I get that perhipheral view of someone following me, male, Latino, 25-35 hands in his hoodie with the hood up (not trying to sound judgemental, I often wear them too) so he's probably 15 feet behind me, but walking very fast to gain ground.

I can't tell if he's anxious to gamble or what - I just had that pre-rape feeling. I start to arc left, away from the front door, and he does the same.

"yo, my man you got the time?" I turn around and can he's got one hand in the pocket still - "sorry dude, don't smoke"

Then the knife came out. He didn't ask for my money, nor did he really have a chance too. I basically run backwards while drawing he gets about three steps in before he realizes I have a gun... Dude BOOKED.

I never even got to point it at him.

I am glad that you are still alive to post. We never want to be in the situation where we have to draw and even fire but when it happens thank God for our firearms. Probably not the best place to try and make Christmas happen though. I guess you went there to win presents for the family and you wound up leaving there with the greatest gift which is life... Say a prayer of thanks to God for His grace that he gave you on this Christams.

Luckily you are safe, and it turned out well.

You do know, you can't take a firearm into a casino, right?
I'm so fast, I can bump fire a bolt action.

Is the casino thing in PA statute ( legally prohibited) or posted on the casino doors (conditional entry, trespassing)

This is the point in the trial where a lawyer would ask "Now, did he ask for the TIME, or for a CIGARETTE before you attempted to KILL Mr. Hoodie in cold blood?"

I find it funny that the OP had to draw his firearm on a thug coming at him with a knife, and all you guys want to know is what the pre-rape feeling is and the fact of did he ask for a smoke or the time. Grow up all of you.

It is regulation, and if posted it becomes Defiant Trespassing.

Pointing out that one had damned well have their story straight.

That's as grown up as it gets. He needs honesty more than he needs the internet blowing smoke up his ass about what a "good job" he did.

That said, I am glad he brought a gun to a knife fight.
