Information on my winchester Model 77

I am now the proud owner of a Winchester repeating arms Co Model 77 tube fed .22. From the very limited searching I can do at work I found that it was made between 56-64 and that of the 217,000 of them made the tube fed models were about 10% of the overall number. I am not in the market to be rid of this gun, but I would like to learn more about it. I can post the SN if that will help, but does anyone know where I can get parts for something like this? Also I may be in the markey for one of the origional weaver scopes/mounts that came on the rifle from the factory as it will increase the value/collectability of the rifle. Does anyone know what type of finish they used on the stock and stuff like that. I am looking to do a true blue restoration of this rifle seeing as it is a part of my family since it was purchased new by my great grandfather. Any more information would be EXTREMELY helpful.

Unless the rifle is in below average condition do not do any refinishing to it. Any collector value will go out the window. if you really want to have the rifle refinished send it to Doug Turnbull. He is one of the premier refinisher/rebuilder of Winchester (and Colt) firearms.
