Default Just met a fellow gun lover.

A few hours ago, a guy came into my shop (Peterson's Ski and Cycle, Blakeslee) to get something. I look up and...5.11 tac hat He seemed surprised that I knew what it was We really didn't discuss it, but it was nice to see others out and about.

Sadly, his name completely eludes me, as does what he was looking for that's pretty normal for me.

So, if it was any of us, HI

Ya know that before 5.11 got started in the tactical gear, they used to do mountain climbing gear. Hence the 5.11 name. Maybe he had a thing for big rocks. LOL
Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

nah, it said 5.11 tactical on it, and was pretty new. he also asked what I shot when I commented that his hobby was pretty obvious...before anyone ever mentioned the word "gun." The conversation just didn't go anywhere gun-related after that.

and yes, i know 5.11 made climbing gear but i've never owned any of their equipment, so i don't even know if it was worthwhile (five-ten and mammut all the way >.< )

I had a similar experience a few weeks ago. I manage a verizon wireless store, and I opened a guy's cell phone and his background was a picture of a cz 75 labeled "Baby". I laughed and told him nice Cz and we BS'd about guns for a bit.
Always nice to meet friends you never knew you had.

Same thing here. The other day I went to my local bank because of some transaction that disapeared on an online order. My banker was looking through my purchase history and saw I had ordered something from Magpul ind. We kinda amazed ourselves on how much the other knew about guns, and were just talking about ar-15's and 1911's. it was pretty cool.
