Firearms Industry EDU.
Im looking to get into a firearms manufacturing company or to become a firearms Instructor for a stable company(LWTA PA, etc.) and I cant find ANY info on this topic. Ive been trying to figure out whats recommended for college(business management, etc) and no one can give me a solid helpful answer. Im preferably looking into becoming part of a Manufacturing company (My schooling is paid for by the Army, so college price/location/subject isnt a problem) and I would like to eventually end up in the Instructor/Range Master Industry, even if its just a side job. Dont give me the regular joe-shmo answers "become a police officer", "join the military", "shoot alot", Ive done my time in the military and these answers are everywhere and anyone with common sense knows these things. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Firearms Industry EDU.
So go up to Ilion, NY and apply as a factory hand at Remington, or try this in Hartford Ct. U.S. Firearms
Careers at USFA
USFA...
Highest quality production...
Means highest quality people...
Work in “European Style” modern factory... in Hartford - 15 years!
USFA pays highest wages. Looking for the following handwork skills:
Revolver
Automatic Pistol
Telephone for appointment:
860-296-7441
Or look into Smith & Wesson
If you can sell them on your skills and aptitude maybe they'll hire you. It might mean you'll have to work your way up but give it a try.

Try your google-fu skills a little more if you're looking for trade schools:
Here's some references from a search using the phrase "gunsmithing schools":

Not to sound like a a-hole, but you list some places you like to work, just go to them and ask...how/what would get me a job here and then do it and hope something opens up.
Duh.
Alot is dumb luck. YES shoot alot, compete get your name out there.
Thats why my wife works for a gun shop and I don't. They knew me and that she shot and hunted also not as much but would have a clue.Last edited by Rosco the Iroc; December 13th, 2010 at 08:24 PM.
