female taxidermists
http://www.grandviewoutdoors.com/tur...er-stereotypes
And yes I have had my fair share of problems, mainly I do not get the amount of work in that any male taxidermist gets in. Seems there are alot of "traditional" men in these here parts ( not just the Mennonites). Funny thing is that the old time Indian "squaw" was the one who skinned and butchered the game, the men just killed the animals and dragged them into camp. The "squaw" also prepped and tanned the hides/furs. Women's work among whites was always " cooking, cleaning, and sewing" ( as well as bearing and raising children). Sewing is a big part of taxidermy, there is much cleaning involved ( of animal parts, bear and coon fat, and deer flesh bits off the floor), and cooking is utilized by some for cleaning of skulls and/or skull plates off buck deer.
So you guys go and hunt, and I will be your taxidermy "squaw". LOLLOL, I am a woman...

What's the over and under on the first "stuffed beaver" joke?
No issues taking game to a female taxidermist. Do you do fish as well? I recently caught a 20" rainbow that would have looked awesome on my son's wall. PM me more info please. (rates, address, phone, etc.) I'll look you up if we get anything worth bringing to you."The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. Re: female taxidermists
I don't do fish, but there is a guy "garbru" Gary Bruch (not sure of spelling) at huntPA who is a world champion fish taxidermist and he is located near HBG somewhere. He often posts pics of his work in the taxidermy forum there. "Garbru" is his user handle.
My work specialty is any animal with hair or fur ( mammals). 3 pics for the curious.LOL, I am a woman...
