Default Cinemark Settlers Ridge Complex (Robinson, PA)

I found myself at Cinemark at Settlers Ridge today. I saw something weird... a sign prohibiting the concealment of firearms on premises. They didn't have a policy about openly carried firearms though...

Just posting this here because I find it odd that they would prohibit only one method of carry and not a blanket ban.

This was also previously posted in the regional forum many months ago.

It probably just didn't occur to them. I wouldn't presume they put a lot of thought into the phrasing.

It raises a valid question in my eyes.

If I post a sign that says "No concealed weapons". Does that in turn mean that OC is ok?

OC is a pretty new concept in PA. As soon as it happens the sign will change to ban all firearms.

They arn't doing patdowns or anything are they? I have heard (but can not confirm) that they do them at the waterfront cinemas.

You can be DAMN sure I won't be going to any theaters that have the audacity to try to pat me down.

Usually corporations run it through legal first. If so, legal needs changed. Apparently they are all under the impression a license to carry is for concealment. But maybe they mean it, afterall, OC is the natural method of carry since the beginning of time.

Technically, OC is only recently being rediscovered after not having been exercised for years and years. There is a lot of mass or momentum behind the 'pendulum' and it will take awhile to get it to change direction.

Nope, no pat-downs and no metal detectors. I just uncovered. I don't think anyone noticed

As far as the waterfront is concerned they weren't doing pat-downs or checks the last time I was there. Though, I only go there on the "discount days".
