picked up a NIB Colt 6920 for $950
surplus city is having their annual sale and while i really wasn't interested in most of the stuff they were selling i had no choice but to jump on the NIB Colt 6920's they had for $950. i know prices have dropped on AR's over the past several months but 950 is the cheapest i've seen since 2004 when the AWB expired. wasn't in the market for a 6920 but for 950 i didn't think i could afford to let that good a deal go by. they also have some good prices on case ammo in 45, 40, 9mm and 380.

Good score. If I was in the market for another AR (or 4), I'd jump on that deal.

You folks in East PA have the luck. Here in SWPA we have "Gouge City"...

Re: picked up a NIB Colt 6920 for $950
Sounds like a good deal.
Are they small or large pin lowers?
I bought one about a year ago, but was far from impressed with the fit and finish on a "tier 1" rifle and a bit burnt when the seller lied to me about the pin size. I ended up letting it go before I even fired it.
Still, for $950 locally, I'd definitely recommend it to people in the market for an AR.
Good find.

i don't know what size the pins are because the gun is still at surplus city until i pay it off in a couple of weeks. you're 100% correct in reference to fit and finish. i've seen NIB Colt rifles that had all kinds of little scratches and dings in the finish. i guess Colt doesn't give a damn since offically they only sell their AR15'S to leo.

Re: picked up a NIB Colt 6920 for $950
I just thought I'd mention that I recently bought a Yugo M70B1 from Surplus City, and they had no problems shipping it to a FFL here in Southwest PA.
As a matter of fact, when I previously called Tanners they offered to do the same.
Just some food for thought...Last edited by marinville; November 29th, 2010 at 05:01 PM.
