I go by my dog, if it's cold and she don't wanna walk it's too cold to shoot.

I received a fresh reminder why I don't visit the state game land ranges anymore (SG127) about 12 noon it sounded like a weak mag dump party for about 5 minutes, then an occasional mag dump after. With ammo shortages being what they are and idiots shooting up folks all over Coolbaugh you would think these idiots would be more careful, most Likely weekend COD players doing what they do best.

10/04/2021 Range backstops are almost non-existent ! Rifle range only One 50 yard backstop available (one Is Completley down )First up shooter got there at 8 am then pistol side a gent putting up his tent to protect from weather . I gave them my Cardboard backstop so to adhere their target to wet backstops . This range needs attention ! Getting too old to volunteer my services along with others in the past at this range .PGC Gildea always did a good job in this sector ! Just to add Mosquitos are awful today, not raining but humid now that i got home torential rains coming down ,At least my rifle got sighted in and some time on pistol range !

I remember growing up, it was a great time to shoot at the 127 range at the old location. Reading this thread it seams the tide has changed. Maybe it*s time the PGC closes the range

Wow did everyone finally give up on this range? No posts in a year.
I was going to go this weekend. But that changed.

I was there 11/22 mid afternoon and there were only 2 others there - 1 at pistol, 1 at rifle. Shockingly that close to opening day.
Should have bought a lottery ticket.
This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

That may have been the best time to.go last week with many people driving to their Thanksgiving destinations that day.
