Re: Tobyhanna SGL Range Reports
@spinhat: in order to obtain a pa hunters license, you need to succesfully complete a hunters safety course. i havent seen any rules for the range permit, but it sounds like they are just trying to mandate it a bit more. Some people on that range would benefit on a safety course.

Didn't go through the system just yet.
I would a bit upset if no one came to check after I got it.

Re: Tobyhanna SGL Range Reports
PGC was there on wednesday when I was up there. Did a circle in the parking lot and left. The new signs for the permits/hunting tags were up then but he didn't bother to stop.
Me and my buddy were shooting pennies at 50 yards with our .22s. Had a lot of fun as always but man was it muddy later in the afternoon after the melted.Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

Re: Tobyhanna SGL Range Reports
Just got back from my first trip ever to to this range (well any state range for that matter). It was nice, little bit of mud but very clean. Not gonna lie I was expecting a bunch of crazies bump firing AK's and AR's with full mags and no safety gear (heard a lot of rumors about the state ranges). I was pleasantly surprised to only find two people there, one sighting in a rifle and one on the 25 yard range. The gentleman on the 25 yard range gave me a friendly reminder to make sure I had my permit as apparently the wardens have "been on the war path" lately. All in all a good experience for shooting a pistol for the first time in 5 years. Oh and thank you to whoever left all those shiny 9mm cases everywhere I snatched them right up
