Ammo in Harrisubrg
Hey guys, Im looking for a good place to buy ammo in the harrisburg area besides wal-mart and bass pro, because every time I go to one of these places i get hassled about buying ammo because im 20, but its for my rifle which is a 9mm carbine. Anybody know of anywhere I can purchase without them making me feel like im trying to do something illegal?

Re: Ammo in Harrisubrg
Ok so today I went into Gander Mtn. in Harrisburg, to try and purchase some 9mm ammo for my hi point 995 carbine. I got the ammo i wanted and walked to the front to pay for it, and the lady at the front asked for my ID and i showed it to her, and she said that I must be 21 to purchase handgun ammo. I explained that it was for a 9mm Carbine and that it was a rifle. She declined and i asked to speak to the manager. I asked the manager if i was legally old enough to purchase that Beretta Cx4 9mm carbine sitting behind him, and he explained yes thinking i was interested in making a 800.00 purchase, i then asked if why i was not allowed to purchase the ammo for my own 9mm carbine and he explained that i must be 21 to purchase handgun ammo, i again explained that it was for a carbine like the beretta, and he said you might be old enough to purchase the gun but not the ammo, sorry end of discussion. So now im kinda of back in the same situation i was in at the begining of this post, I dont want ot drive all the way back to Hunters Den in Waynesboro,PA where i purchased the gun just to buy ammo. Is there any local shops around the Harrisburg area? Any input would be great.

I dunno they deff. carded me. I live up here in Harrisburg because of college and my father in Maryland would buy them for me but thats just a hassle of driving down there or him driving up here so i can pay him for them and picking them up. Its hard to belive that there are no local shops around the general Harrisburg area.

Now I'm not a fan of the TROP Gun shop but just take a few extra minutes to drive over there. It's just outside Elizabethtown, 10 minutes southeast of Harrisburg.
