First I've seen that, but when I read: "Taking cues from the proven 702 autoloader..." Does that mean it's a 702 with new clothes? It appears to use a 10 rd mag that looks like it's from a currently produced firearm, rather than a mag designed for the rifle. (I'm not familiar with a 702 - perhaps it's the same mag)

If it accepts "hi-cap" mags of some sort -maybe it would be worthwhile, but if not, it's just a sheep in wolf's clothing, and I'd pass.

I guess for the price like you mentioned, doesnt sound bad. I just dont like the fact that that one doesnt come with a threaded barrel and apparently it only accepts 10 round mags. For an extra hundred or so, i have been more than happy with my Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22

Heh. I'm a tard. The 702 is the Plinkster - which I own.
I thought that mag looked familiar!

My Plinkster is a decent enough rifle, but if I'm going to be restricted to only 10 rounds, why not just get a Plinkster for about $120?
Maybe the extra $80 is worth it to some people to have a more "tactical" looking "Plinkster"?

A friend picked up one of the Tacticals, nice enough, a bit pricy as I beleive he paid $239. The dealer told him that Mossy was bringing out a larger mag in a few months for it. Not sure if it's true, but FYI.

I see no redeeming qualities in it unless you are simply buying it based on appearance.

Even then, it reminds me of a BB gun that is trying to look like an AR.

I love the molded plastic protrusion that looks like a forward assist

That said, if it has an aperture rear sight, that feature alone is probably worth the extra money above a normal 702 Plinkster (a set of Tech-Sights for a Ruger 10/22 is nearly $60).
Any mission, any conditions, any foe at any range.
Twice the mayhem, triple the force.
Ten times the action, total hardcore.
