Re: Buttery-Sweet Dessert Protection
Holy CRAP! I never thought of that. We used to always put our apple pie in a bowl (best when warm), add a little milk, and sometimes sprinkle a spoonful of sugar on top - HEAVEN!!!
Yes, the apples turn out soft.
I wouldn't compare this to something grandma used to make, but considering how easy it is to make and how tasty it is, this one is a keeper.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Nice pics. On another note, I understand the gun is old and Washington maybe wasnt so anti-gun in the past but that Washington DC on the slide cracked me up a little.

Re: Buttery-Sweet Dessert Protection
Tried the recipe last night. Would like to show the pretty pictures but it seems to have evaporated.
Thank You for this as it is our new best dessert.Courage is being scared to death--but saddling up any way. John Wayne

Re: Buttery-Sweet Dessert Protection
Glad you liked it.
We saw that the dough products were on sale the other day so we picked up some more. Wife is going to try a variation of this recipe using 2 layers of dough (one on the bottom and one on the top with apples between) rather than rolling them individually. We'll see if it turns out as good.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Buttery-Sweet Dessert Protection
Looking at the recipe it seems that I miss-read the sugar. Try using brown sugar next time as that was what we used.

Since this stuff is in the oven as I type, I thought it would make for a nice seasonal BUMP!

Had a small sample shortly after it came out of the oven earlier. Mmmmm...
Soon it will be time for my evening snacky-snack.
I haz vanilla ice cream to add to it this time.

Re: Buttery-Sweet Dessert Protection
Yup. Essentially the same handgun.
I forget if they bought the rights to make them from Colt, or what the deal was exactly, but yeah, pretty much the same thing.
I carried IWB in a nylon holster, so it was right against my skin and it drove me nuts.
EDIT: Actually, I'm thinking of the Star D Series/Model D that is identical.Last edited by Emptymag; October 4th, 2014 at 09:32 PM.
