Default Saw My First OCer Yesterday

I work at a Sheetz, and while starting my early shift yesterday, saw a regular customer OC outside drinking his coffee. I feel that I have pretty good situational awareness, but I've never seen him open carry. Stopped and BSed for a minute before finishing my task. Nobody noticed on him at all, as far as I can tell. That's the way it needs to be. nobody was shot, no kids harmed, just a guy enjoying his cup of coffee exercising his right to carry. Wonder if he's a member here or not...

You could have just asked. Anytime I find out someone is a gun owner, I usually ask if they are a member of PAFOA.

I know of 1 man in Philadelphia who open carries. He's been doing it since the 70's.
He was part owner of a auto collision shop and also owned a candy store. He's retired now and still open carries, a nice 1933 Walther P-38, beautiful gun. I don't know how he does it ? Back then he didn't have a permit, I would think now he does but he still don't get harassed for the open carry. This always puzzeled me !

According to Wikipedia, the P38 wasn't designed until 1938. Are you sure his is from 1933? I'm not saying Wiki can't be wrong, just curious as I enjoy reading about old pistols.

    From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walther_P38
The P38 concept was accepted by the German military in 1938 but production of actual prototype ("Test") pistols did not begin until late 1939.
