HB 1926 (in which castle doctrine is part of now) is stuck in house Rules Committee and before it gets a full house concurrence vote HB 1926 has to pass out of Rules committee first.

Which is still headed by Rules committee chairman Rep Eachus so he is the key either way to getting the two required votes before HB 1926 gets to governors desk.

Everyone in RED voted against HB 40 the ones in GREEN may vote for final passage (after election day?) they cast procedural votes against HB 40 even if they passed for final passage. Now it should be a pass through vote as both bills separately have both passed the house in overwhelming majorities....Can't really take anyone’s vote or actions for granted after election day they could just adjourn the house to and let it die.

Still everything Rest on the chairman of the Rules committee Rep Eachus bringing HB 1926 up for a vote, then bringing HB 1926 up for a concurrence vote in the full house.

Again any member can call for adjournment at any time, its a powerful tool to stop HB 1926 so keep this in mind

As you can see we should have the votes for passage in Rules committee THAT'S IF we can get a vote here. After election day no one will be accountable for their actions (or IN actions) till Nov 2012 so keep this in mind.

Hence the original strategy was based on everything happening before Election Day where we had the added leverage for passage into law.

Don't know what day the A-Team maybe going to harrisburg everything is up in the air till after the elections. A-Team (A= Actvist)

Here is the scheduled remaining session day left, IF we fail to get the required house votes before this dates WE get NOTHING.
    November 8, 9, 10, 15, and 16

MORE TO COME ON A -TEAM INTERACTIVE LOBBYING EVENT TILL THEN HERE IS BASIC OUTLINE for anyone that has never gone before. Possible Game plans are under consideration, still it depends on the out come of the election and the willingness of Rep Eachus cooperation to get us a vote(s).

We are going to be there about 12 noon. time frame, on Nov 15 . The event will last to at least 6 p.m. and maybe as late as 9pm. If you have to leave before that or you can’t be there that early or arrive late we will try to accommodate you the best we can using cell phones to coordinate.

We will meet up just outside the security check point where you check your firearms. It’s the South entrance at the rear of the Capitol Building by the big water fountain off Commonwealth Ave.

If you come in the main entrance (with all the steps) on North 3rd street, you can NOT check firearms here. If you don’t have a firearm you can come in that way and make your way through the building to Commonwealth Ave entrance.

There are several nearby parking garages convenient to the capitol building beginning with the glass one off of N 2nd street off of Locust St. by the river. Another parking garage is off the intersection of Forster St &N 7th street by railroad tracks. There are also all kinds of parking meters & other places to park around the capital complex.

What we also ask is that you dress in business casual attire with comfortable dress shoes as we will be walking all over the capital complex. The point is to make what we say and information we present the focus of what the Reps will remember not how we dress or looked. It is important to dress appropriately for these events so that we leave a positive impression. I am personally uncomfortable with ties and dress shoes, we all should do what is required for the larger goal. Always dress to impress and you can't go wrong.

Everyone Contact Rep Todd A. Eachus (Democrat) - the KEY person right now to getting castle doctrine passed at this Very late date in this session

    http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/..._bio.cfm?id=61

    Email teachus@pahouse.net

    Hon. Todd A. Eachus
    1 West Broad St.
    Suite 3
    Hazleton, PA 18201
    (570) 450-7905
    Fax: (570) 459-3946

    Hon. Todd A. Eachus
    110 Main Capitol Building
    PO Box 202116
    Harrisburg, PA 17120-2116
    (717) 787-2229
    Fax: (717) 772-9991

Everyone Please snail mail (or FAX) a letter to Rep Eachus

Why should you send a snail mail letter or a fax?

Sending a snail mail letter or a fax creates a physical presence that an electronic email form doesn’t on a Rep desk.

We all been known ignore emails, love it or hate when you go to your mail box and its full of mail you are forced to pay attention to the mail is some form and when it stacks up on a Rep desk its tough to just blow off.

Also snail mail letter (fax) is much more effective to get you point across than just calling a staffer and hoping the staffer relays your message to any elected official.

It cost .44 cents to snail mail a letter ….Still is your rights worth this much?

You could also mail or fax your letter to both of Rep Eachus offices to make sure he gets them

Your letters can complex or as simple as you need to get your message across to Rep Eachus to bring HB 1926 up for the required votes before the end of session.
