Galco is getting into the game

Saw one of these today at the Pittsburgh Mills gun show. It seems to be well made and the price is competitive.

Re: Galco is getting into the game
Bought my kingtuk at American Sport Shooting too for my 5" 1911. Super tight fit. Couldn't draw the gun at all. 30 seconds in the toaster oven at 300 degrees gave the kydex just enough play to get it molded to how I wanted it. Very pleased with the holster. The only draw back for me, a 2.5 lb 5" 1911 IWB is something I've never done before so it's going to take some getting used to.
Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

Re: Galco is getting into the game
I picked up a Galco Kydex M7X Matrix holster for $25 shipped from Cabelas.com but had a $10 off promotion. So it was $16 shipped after tax. Its basically a pancake IWB minus the skin barrier. No matter, I dont carry my 5" 1911 in the summer so anytime Ill have it on in the winter I will also have a undershirt on as a skin barrier.

Re: Galco is getting into the game
As soon as I saw the thread title I figured it would be a Crossbreed Supertuck style holster. They are such a big hit now. Anyway I'm not really happy with Galco's customer service so I wont be buying one. Its gonna be a Minitaur MTAC for me!

Re: Galco is getting into the game
I have a MTAC for CC. I have three Galco pancake holsters for range duty(combat master's) and have never had any need to contact them.
Can you give us any insight as to what the problem was with their CS?
For anybody interested in the Kingtuk, Snake Run in Koppel, Pa was who was selling them at the gun show. He was actually selling them for $55 as an introductory offer.

Re: Galco is getting into the game
I needed a gun belt that they had in stock, but none of their distributors had in stock. I needed it within a few days so my only choice was to get it from galco directly. They said they would sell it to me but would charge 50 bucks more than street price and 25 bucks for shipping.
