    Default CZ 75 P-01 = Awesome Gun!

I just picked up a new CZ 75 from Tanner's in Jamison this weekend. A guy came in and was selling 3 brand new CZ's, never fired and all in original packaging. I couldn't resist so I snagged one and got a great deal.

I went to the range today and put about 100 rounds or so down range. The gun is very accurate. The sights are great and I was getting groupings of 2-3 inches or so at about 9 yards. The gun is much more accurate than I am. Since the gun is pretty much all metal the recoil is very little. I cannot put this thing down, it just feels so good in my hands. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new 9mm.

My friend recently purchased a P-01 and it has defiantly convinced me to look at the CZ 75 line for my next purchase. It is very comfortable in the hand and accurate to shoot.

I'm looking for a firearm in the tactical line so I'm looking at at the SP-01. Longer frame, slide and barrel also a steel frame vs the alloy on the P-01. This firearm will be for HD and target shooting so size and weight are of limited concern.

The alloy frame of the P-01 helps keep the weight down for carry. Comparing the frame to polymer frames they are pretty close in weight.

I think I'm going to start putting a few dollars in a jar and get me one of these for a carry gun. I've shot several of them and just can't stop thinking about how much I like them.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

2 weeks ago I picked up a used P-01. Added new Meprolight night sights.
Took it to the range and really enjoyed shooting it. The rubber grips are super comfortable. Great gun IMO. I like the compact size.

How much did you end up paying for yours Jettagls00?

I paid $410 for it. It was brand new, never fired but sold as used. Apparently the guy who traded them in buys guns all the time and trades them in months later, all unfired.

I also have a question...what is the difference between the "D" and the "P-01"?

Nothing, over the years they have been marked both ways. Same gun. There is also a PCR that does not have the front rail.

That is a really great price for a $600+ gun. Congratulations, timing is everything!

When discussing comfortable guns to shoot with an Israeli, he said to me "Wait until you shoot the CZ 75" !
Reading this thread is not going to be good for my budget.

The Czechs make a really nice series of handguns.
