Default Time frame for Form 3's?

Recently purchased a suppressor from a C3 dealer out of the area, so the C3 dealer submitted the F3 to get my suppressor to my local C3 dealer.

I was curious to what the time frame was for the ATF to approve the F3 to transfer a suppressor C3 dealer to C3 dealer?

Probably three to four weeks, but with some examiners it might take longer.

    which is fucking ridiculous.

    F3 process:
Is item in registry and do stats match?
    yes, then..
are both dealers info correct and up to date?
    if yes..
    approve and note in registry.

there is NO possible reason for a F3 tax free dealer to dealer transfer to take any longer than a minute or two.

as a note, way back when the NFA branch was located in DC, and FULLY staffed by "inner city quality" fed employees, I had a F3 take SEVEN months.. amazingly, BOTH dealers were with the same examiner(alphabetically)

the same examiner then took over SIX months to do the TRANSFER to me (still same examiner, same alphabetic examiner), and managed to put a $200 stamp on a $5 AOW paperwork.

So sad! I'm glad that they moved to WV and in the process "Culled the herd" of examiners.

I was just informed today that the F3 was approved. So about 23 days for my F3 to get processed. Time really flies when you're not thinking about it.

Hope my F4 gets quickly processed too!
