Default Change of address and CCW permit....

I moved back to Philly a few months ago, so I decided to renew my CCW permit in Montgomery County (a year before my last permit expired) before moving to avoid the hassle of dealing with Philadelphia's gun permit division. My last renewal was in Philly, and it took damn near six months for them to issue me my permit, even though State law is supposed to guarantee that the process takes no longer than 45 days.

Am I now required to call the Montgomery County court house for an address change? How does this work?

I asked about an address change when I moved from Lycoming County to Snyder County. This is the response I got from the sheriff:

    Mr. Zef:

There is nothing that needs to be done in regards to the address. That was your current address when the license was issued and the license is valid until it expires or is revoked by the issuing authority. There are no provisions in the statute requiring a change of address.

When your current license expires you will need to make application with our office.

    Thank you.

Did you sue them? Report them to AG?
..if not they will just keep doing it.

No. There is NO provision for address change on a LTCF in the UFA. Make sure you update your DL though, I think you have 15 days by law...
