References?
I've read a couple threads but they are just creating more questions in my mind. I'm having trouble with references... A good friend of mine and soon to be shooting buddy lives in Johnstown and he said he'd be a reference but now I'm not sure if that would suffice because I'm reading that other counties are requiring people located in their county. I live in Armstrong county. Anyone know if that's the case here? Do I have to find 2 non-family members from Armstrong county as my references?
Also, how NON-family do they have to be? Can my sister's husband be a reference? I have tried rereading the licensing laws but I can't find anything about references so I'm confused. Anyone able to shed some insight?
Thanks.

Re: References?
I obtained my LTCF in York county and entered two out of state references. They were never contacted and nothing was said about them being out of state. I know some counties play different games, but the references are only checked about half the time.

Re: References?
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Re: References?
UFA? I have, since posting this, emailed the sheriff's office and they responded saying that my friend was OK to use and completely ignoring my question about my brother in law. So, I reposed the question along with a few more. Haven't heard back yet.
Thanks for the help guys.

Re: References?
Your brother-in-law is no blood or legally recognized relation to you (I'm assuming ), therefore it is my opinion he is NOT "family".

Re: References?
Harsh (Unless I misinterpreted what you're saying) lol When we moved up from Irwin years ago we always joked about how we seemed like the only people in the area NOT related to everyone else...
Oh ok. Couldn't figure out the acronym. I had looked through that for any type of reference rules as well and couldn't find anything either. Google was really helpful with "United Farmers of Alberta" and "Uniformed Firefighters Association" though.Last edited by spider87; October 29th, 2010 at 04:33 PM.

Re: References?
I know, since it's not defined anywhere, there isn't really a clear answer to any of these questions but anyone had any experience using someone below 21? He's either 19 or 20 but definitely someone I'd trust as a reference but I don't know if he'd be valid?
Also, does anyone think it'd matter if he's been cited for trespassing? lol
A more easily answerable question, when is a photo required?Last edited by spider87; October 29th, 2010 at 05:31 PM.
