Looking for nice rifles in .30-06 or .308, only.

    700 milspec or tactical 20"
    fn's
    sakos
    EBrown, etc.

interested in a varmint portable configuration, no large bench stocks or strict target configurations.
10 lbs without optics or less.

Things in nice wood considered as possible alternatives.

In the Lehigh valley, will travel 2-3 hours if I must.

Complete setups considered as well as just the rifles.

I bought my son a Sako "AI" in .308. It has the evergreen stock and comes with 2 sets of rings, one Sako and one precision. 2nd set of rings was necessary because the gun would not "shoot" but pattern. $$$ for rings later the problem was a bad Leupold scope now in a landfill after 2 repair attempts.

Wood is at 95%, metal is better. Stock is somewhat blonde.

Looking to recoup investment of $835.
