The SIG DAKs are wonderful. I've been carrying a SIG Sauer P229R DAK .40S&W off shift and now in retirement and love it. It starts out at 6.5# trigger and after 500 rounds is close to 5.5#. The original SIG DAO has a 10# trigger.

    I am interested....

If they work right, and are priced in the league of the working man - I might just "have to have" one of these...

It's a 9mm picket pistol - Of course it's DAO. How are you gonna fit or manipulate a decocker on such a tiny pistol? And why would you wanna carry C/L in a pocket - OK, 238 owners, I have my flame suit on

    Regards,

    Bones

Personally, I prefer the consistent 6# trigger of the P250's DAO to the 8.1# intermediary reset point of the DAK system. If the P290 has the same DAO system as the P250, it should be quite a shooter. That said, I prefer the DA/SA systems.

IMO, a double action only system should behave the same way every time you pull and reset the trigger. The DAK system's first pull is supposed to be full travel at around 6.6#. After the shot is fired, you release the trigger to the intermediary reset point, and the next pull is 8.1# at half travel. Some like the shorter heavier pull, but I don't. I want a double action only system to do the same thing every time, no changes.

I'm excited about the P290, I've been looking for a 9mm slim subcompact for a while now. There's no way I'm spending the money on a Kahr. This should be good.
