Check the front door of your local Wachovia bank

Went up to Mt. Pocono this afternoon to close an old business account (another story right there) and lo and behold they now have those goofy internationalized signs on the door, one of which is a red circle and line across a gun.

Well good thing I was closing the account because I would have anyways, bad enough this bank is owned by those POS Wells Fargo but now they seem to feel transporting money in and out of a bank isn't a good enough reason to carry again.

Well that's what I did today too, but I concealed just because I wasn't in ANY kind of mood to deal with more BS than I knew I was going to be dealing with. Freaking HATE that bank.

I'll stick with PennStar and Pocono Community, they are nice people, they treat people like people and no one has ever said one word about the gun.

Yep. And they're screwing us a lot harder. Unfortunately, it's us that needs our money protected from them.

I personally prefer smaller banks..seem to be more friendly, have better options and etc.

we bank at a local federal credit union.

they charge me 5.00 to cash a check, their check, because i dont have an account with them.
i always ask for a receipt, you should see that fiasco, a bunch of pencil pushers whispering to each other (how do you write a receipt?).

TD bank is my bank, open at 8am til 8pm

i went into a bank a while back... Citizens i think it was... had a metal detector in the front. walk in a bullet resistant cube, through the detectore, if it doesnt go off the guard lets you in the second door. if it goes off they ask for your ID. once they have your ID, you go about your business. on the way out you get your ID back and leave via the same deal. needless to say, i dont bank there anymore.

I just did the same thing last week. Last statement said $16/month inactivity fee.
