Any SWPA dealers selling the Saiga?
Maybe I should stick this under the Commerical area for a dealer reply...
I keep hearing about these inexpensive Saiga Sporter rifles and shotguns - but have never seen one in person or heard of any dealers in PGH area or at the area gunshows actually selling them.
For $300.00 are they junk - and a liability - or what? Anyone know of any dealers stocking them?
Thanks!

Yesterday I saw one at John Brown's Armory in Rochester Pa, but didn't look at it very closely.

Re: Any SWPA dealers selling the Saiga?
Haven't seen one around PA. As per quality, I have first hand experience and can say they are excellent rifles. Better quality than WASR. A true russian AK-47.

Re: Any SWPA dealers selling the Saiga?
The Saigas are built in the original AK factory in Russia. I feel that the Saigas have a better fit and finish compared to other less expensive AKs.
The Saiga 12's have been difficult to locate as of late, but there are rumors that a shipment of Saiga 12's will arrive at the end of November.
I bought my S12 a few months back and I'm on the waiting list to have it converted by Tromix.

Does the Saiga out-of-the-box-and-unmodified fire as reliably as the wasr-10?
If so would you consider them a worthwhile investment?

Re: Any SWPA dealers selling the Saiga?
I have not fired a wasr10 but I have racked the bolt back on one and checked it out at the gun show. It seemed sub par to the saiga. The saiga action glides and the wasr stuck in the rear position a few times. I dont think anyone here will tell you a wasr is better than a saiga, if they do i would like to read that response.
