    Default Best gun belts?

So after just under a year of faithful service, my Levi's reversible leather belt finally broke tonight. It was about 1-1/8" and fit my Fobus OWB holster (Sig P250 subcompact) holster perfectly. I think the time has come to move to a "real" gun belt - any recommendations? If at all possible, I would prefer something that I can wear with work clothes (software company, nothing too terribly formal) as well as semi-casual clothes.

I've been using a wilderness tactical for a few years now and love it

I use the frequent flyer model with the 5-stitch for added stiffness in 1 1/2 in width.

For business casual get 1.25" width - maybe a pattern stamped or fancy stitching.

For jeans wear, go 1.5". Once you see what a difference a good belt makes you're going to want a real holster too.

If you're going for a more outdoorsy look you can always buy a "riggers" belt any pretty much any tactical store. If you go with black it looks like any other hiking belt, but it will hold up to a lot and provides a nice wide support for your sidearm. Most widths aren't too big for jeans, but it depends on your pants. I usually carry with a thicker leather belt, don't remember where I got it, but I've never had a problem with a belt persay.

Same experience here, previously had a DeSantis gun belt, now have a Beltman - difference is night and day.

I wear my belt with my slacks at work and jeans. The 1.5" Quick Ship belt is as big as I can go on all the pants I have. It does fit my Dockers, Hagars, etc. slacks just fine.

I would think that the OP's description of his needs would rule out anything close to a "tactical" looking belt (I am not saying that Wilderness 5-Stitch and the like are not sound options, but they do tend to scream "gun!" - At least in my mind and in my view/experience - And they do not fit in within an office environment either)...

I would wholeheartedly agree with a Beltman belt. 1.25" if you need the thinner size - Although my 1.5" Beltman will fit inside the belt loops on most of my Dockers khakis and more casual work pants (I dress business/casual working at a software company as well - But I don't carry at work b/c I can't afford to lose my job - Grrrr......). However, the 1.5" does not fit inside the smaller loops of my dressier slacks, though.

The Beltman's stuff is crafted like a fine dress belt - But built tough as nails. Will last a long time, and you will be satisfied with your purchase, I assure you.

I have described my Beltman as "a dress belt on Viagra."

    Regards,

    Bones

I wear the Wilderness Instructor belt in 1.5" for everyday wear. Casual dress or Someday Go To Meeting clothes, the same belt. The belt works for me, I have an, ahem, fluctuating waist line. I can get the precise cinch I need each day, not what some awl wielding leathermaker has poked into the belt beforehand.
