Sig Sauer P238 Rainbow Titanium finish
http://www.sigsauer.com/products/Sho...&productid=280
This sure is a beautiful weapon. Think the finish would hold up if it was used for frequent carry? Somebody say yes. ;-).

Re: Sig Sauer P238 Rainbow Titanium finish
I actually like the rainbow titanium finish, but get ready for some smack talk on it - lol. Someone was talking about the 238's a while back and someone mentioned how Q ( trying to be politically correct so I'll say girly ) and many chimed in on how ridiculous the rainbow was. I have been a closet rainbow titanium lover finally coming out You can pick them up cheaper than most 238's too - many people I guess don't like them. Last time I checked, you can get one for around $540. I was considering trading my S&W Bodyguard 380 for one because the BG trigger is nasty - but still undecided because I'm not sure if I want a single action only pocket/bug ??? Let us know if you pick one up and I'll do the same.

I secretly, well not anymore, love them as well. I'll probably pick one up for my g/f to shoot.

Re: Sig Sauer P238 Rainbow Titanium finish
The guys behind the counter at the shop I was in yesterday were talking about one they recently sold. If I didn't blow my entire firearms budget for the year in the past two weeks on other guns, I'd seriously consider bringing one home. Get a rainbow Kershaw scallion or leek and you'd have a pretty nice set.

Re: Sig Sauer P238 Rainbow Titanium finish
Got one!
purely for the collection, carried it for a few weeks, then went in the drawer
the grip is too slippery for my hands, so I got the black model, seems grippier
however, the finish on it seems MUCH harder than the finish on the black Kershaw Leek, and at LEAST as hard as the slide finish on my Glock
I would have no qualms about the finish wearing off.
(ps, if you do buy it, I could be persuaded to part with the Leek ...just sayin)

My father-in-law carries one. Seems to be holding up well and it shoots great. I would rock one.

Re: Sig Sauer P238 Rainbow Titanium finish
I like it, would look better with a bare stainless reciever and no black, but I like it. I love the P238, It's a very nice handgun. Will last way longer than any of these new pocet guns.

Re: Sig Sauer P238 Rainbow Titanium finish
I dunno about that last claim - Go check on SigForum and look for people who have a decent number of rounds (well, relatively speaking that is - say, over 1k rds.) through their 238's - They all seem to encounter recoil springs that die after about 250 rds., some have peening on their slides and/or frame or barrel locking surfaces, and yet others have had nightmarish extractor tension issues...
And as for the titanium rainbow finish - Well I will be subtle and simply say that I am not a fan of it. At all. OMO of course!

Bones
