I used Bob Gorney for my latest purchase - walking distance from my house to his, so I didn't mind that he isn't the cheapest. He charged $35 plus tax ($37.xx). Charging tax was a new one on me (and he did mention it in advance), but still a decent price.

$40 +10% of price for receiving from internet site for something they could have sold you...
lol is that real? + 10% the price? because $40 for 5 mins worth of work isnt enough... they also want money for doing nothing because other places have lower prices? kings sure is a real piece of work

Yes, I was a little shocked when he (Roger) said that... like they want a cut on the action of a good deal (something they could order).

$25 FTF is good though, and $40 (they have to receive it, inventory, and hold it until you come get it) is okay for an internet order (though I would have appreciated a phone call when my item came in vs. me calling them to check and find out it arrived the day before).

Still decent people though. I like Pat, she's nice.

ya $25 certainly isnt bad compared to what other people are charging.. still a bit steep for a pics call imo though

It's more than that. They have rent, electric, employees, insurance, storage of documents for ~20yrs, etc to pay every month. This isn't their home (I would expect the home FFL to have the best prices, of course).

Not affiliated in any way, just understand business and trying to stay afloat.

certainly looks like its someone's home... and every business has overheard.. mcdonalds doesnt charge you $25 because an employee had to ring up your double cheese burger

eta. im not specifically talking about king's besides the looks like someone's home... imo all ffls charge way too much for such a simple service, they would be able to bring in more transfers if they lowered their prices a bit... id prefer to just charge for transfers if i were an ffl as opposed to actually selling guns that i have to spend time and money buying, storing, insuring, etc

Worst thing about this area is the high prices and then if you don't want to pay their high prices, you get gouged on the transfer.

For me It's worth leaving the SEPA area and traveling to search inventory or for doing a transfer. I just did a sweep on 3 of the local shops looking for various firearms and ALL were well above average priced. I still stay local for reloading supplies (higher prices still offset Hazmat fees!)

I've tried and tried to support the local guys, but they are just too outside the range on their items (granted, at least for the items I've been looking for)

I guess It's worth trying the home FFL guys.
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Note that I posted transfers are done for prior customers-
I do not do transfers unless I have done business with you in the past.
