Default Looking for a cabin with shooting on property

I'm planning a "bachelor party" for my buddy who said he would like to just get away to a cabin and maybe do some shooting. This isn't a boobies and debauchery kind of thing, but rather a group of friends hanging out sharing a common interest.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any rural cabins/small houses for rent that have a safe area on-site where it would be permissible to do some plinking, or where I might find such a thing. Or alternatively, a nearby SGL range. Preferably looking for something within 3 hours of the greater Harrisburg area.

    Any advice greatly appreciated!

See if anybody in the party knows someone at a Sportsman's club. We rented the hall at one for my bachelor party and it had everything we needed. Kitchen, TV, pool table, poker table, etc.

It had a range but we started after dark.

Where are you at? I'm just South of Harrisburg. If you're familiar with the area you might want to check out renting a cabin at Pinchot Park, there is a SGL range 5 minutes from it. Just be knowledgable if you do bring guns into the park post or pre shoot.

Contact Fort Indiantown Gap. They have a club, many shooting ranges, housing etc...unknown to most Americans, all Military installations can be used by civilians, you just have to ask and comply with rules, regs, and such.

    Good Luck,

This is probably a better bet than what I suggested.

Thanks for the suggestions, but still on the hunt. Looking for something to make a weekend of - at a secluded rental cabin/house, more-so than a "hall" or club.

    Any thoughts/suggestions appreciated.

Thinking about Pine Creek/Grand Canyon/Wellsboro area.

Hey, i know im resurrecting a super old thread here. I was doing some googling for the exact same thing and came across this thread. Was wondering if you ever found a rental with a range. If you could let me know that would be a big help.

    Thanks.

I hope I'm wrong because that sounds awesome. But i think you are going to have a lot of trouble finding what you are looking for. Insurance alone would be a killer.

A friend of mine had a bachelor party at a place in Delaware that did skeet shooting. Kind of a surprise because it was literally right off of a highway. But i guess they have enough property. It was in December, i didn't attend the bachelor's party, and it was way too cold to enjoy doing anything outside (including the outdoor segment of the wedding).

Plus nothing like finding out which of your friends is the biggest pussy by judging their reactions to shooting a machine gun...
