Mauser 1910
Ok, it's Saturday, getting all my posts out of the way
I picked up a 1910 Mauser 6.35mm a week or so ago, and finally got it to the range after cleaing it up a bit. Gun fired fine, but does have one problem I was hoping to get some feedback on. Almost every round it ejects spent casing fine, but then has trouble loading next round. It's almost like the magazine spring doesn't have enough spring left in it to feed the round correctly - is that possible ? Or might the recoil spring be weak and sending the slide back enough to eject old round but not catch new round properly ( not sure that even makes sense? ). I took a picture of what it looks like after spent round is ejected and new round gets caught up. Any tips would be appreciated before I start buying springs, mags, etc. ! Thanks

Re: Mauser 1910
Either a new recoil spring or a feed ramp polishing job might do the trick. How is it Accuracy wise?
The M1. Smackin' the bastards since 1932.

Re: Mauser 1910
A lot better accuracy than my Bodyguard and at longer distance - lol. At 25 feet I was hitting just high and to the left, but all within 5"s or so of dead center - so for a 90 year old gun, first shots, I'm happy. Just a range gun anyway, obviously will not be carrying it
I'll try polishing the feed ramp and see what happens - thanks !
