Default Monroe Co LTCF reference question

Here is what they say for references - verbatim:
All references MUST be full time MONROE COUNTY, PA residents only! Family members or those who reside at the same address as you are NOT acceptable. References can not be related or reside at the same address as one another. You must provide their complete home mailing address and phone number. If any of your references fail to return the questionnaire within the 45 days, your application will be denied.

    Question:
Would my brother in-law who lives down the street be acceptable? If so I just need to find one more….

brother in law = different last name, so go for it. the sheriff is an ass for requiring his own things for a state issued license that is supposed to be uniform state wide. if he bitches about it, tell him he is breaking the law.

This is what the application says:

"NOT FAMILY MEMBERS". All of the other requirements he made up.

Yeah but they enforce them here, trust me they do.

It's one of those things us Monroe County residents need to get corrected and damn soon I might add.

You can't "enforce" something you don't have legal authority to require in the first place. The Sheriff is ignoring the law, and until someone is willing to stand up to him and challenge him on the matter, nothing will change.

Allegheny County says that references must live in Pennsylvania but I put down a friend in Virginia and one in Kentucky and still got approved in less than a week. Go figure.

It gets much worse here, I also have to supply a copy of my military DD-214 discharge and a photo copy of my most resent Local 1% Earned Income Tax Form.

Here is a link to the whole ball of ...

Those requirements are so FULL of fail, it would be difficult to find someone who has standing to challenge every single point the Sheriff is out of line on. Apparently you're a veteran. Any chance you're disabled? If so, when does your LTCF expire?

Where did the DD-214 crap come form? I knew about the local tax thing, did it myself but I never heard anything about military discharge papers.

It took me 3 hours to find my DD-214 from 1983, I am not disabled.
