Default for some of us, the Holy Grail of shotguns...

Parker 12ga CHE-grade, side by side shotgun, 28” barrels, choked approx. modified and improved cylinder, beavertail forend, factory single trigger, auto-ejectors, skeleton butt. A serious grail gun indeed...

Beautiful piece of the gunsmith's art. Are you willing to tell us what it set you back?

I am partial to my 1914 A.H. Fox Sterlingworth and I hunt birds with it yet. all the old doubles are works of art.

I wish!! The gun was bought by a friend of mine from a real antique dealer. Get this, it was totally restored by Pachmayr of Los Angeles a few years back. It's easily a 95% plus gun! I've handled the gun a few times and my friend does shoot it in vintage sporting clay events. It's just so damn beautiful, it deserved a post here.

I'll stick to my Brownings and SKB's...

I thought refinishing or restoring a gun lowers the value?

If it is done professionally by an acclaimed person or company it can raise the value. In most cases though leaving it alone will keep its value better than even a professional restoration can boost.

If you have your local Joe Smo gunsmith do it, or do it yourself - value is lost the moment a tool, cleaning agent, or abrasive touches it.
