Ranges near Hamburg?
Seems just about all the ranges around here require you to know a member (I don't, I moved here from South Carolina and haven't managed to integrate quite yet), and wait for them to have a monthly meeting to decide. I'm just looking for a pistol range. Stony Creek Outfitters seemed to fit the bill, but they require a LTCF. Wouldn't be much of an issue, but it's my first gun, and so far the people I've asked to be references say they won't till I get some range time... Explaining that I have no interest in carrying, just need it for a range is about as productive as slamming my head against a wall. Though I have to admit, it wouldn't sound right to me either.
Anyone know a safe range in my area that doesn't have all these requirements?
I never thought using a range would be so much more difficult than buying a handgun.

Re: Ranges near Hamburg?
This one is not quite near Hambug, but its on RT 61.
http://muhlshooting.org/
download and mail the application to them. Its just 15 bucks a year and its a pretty nice range too
Only thing is that there is a mandatory oreintation that all new members must attend before you can use the range. Agan no big deal.
This one is also near RT 61...
no web site for them sorry:
Leesport Gun CLub
89 Ontelaunee Drive
Shoemakersville, PA 19555
610-926-1282
The clubhouse is open every Wed from 5-7pm and at that time you can apply for a memebership. 3rd Sunday of the month is trap shooting until 4pm give or take. Membership cost is 15 bucks first year and 10 bucks after that.
Neither location requires a member endorsement.
Good Luck and let me know if this helpsgotta love her ;)

Re: Ranges near Hamburg?
Thank you for the suggestions. Leesport Gun Club hasn't been answering calls, and their meetings are during working hours for me. I'll look into the Muhlenberg range and Perry. Thanks again!
