    Default Let's see your non-Ar15 .223 auto-loaders!

Man, you guys in PA have some nice looking Ar15 setups, so now I wanna see what other .223 semis you guys have!

Since I'm starting the thread, I'll post pics of mine:

Very nice. They let you have flash suppressors and folding stocks in Canada? That's better than some states in the US!

Thanks! Surprisingly, Canadian gun laws don't care about things like flash suppressors, barrel shrouds (you know, the shoulder thing that goes up ), folding/telescoping stocks, pistol grips or bayonet lugs. The barrel needs to be longer than 18 1/2" and OAL must remain above 26" when the folding/telescoping stock is folded/collapsed to not be the Canadian equivalent of an SBR. However... some guns like the AK47 and FAL are banned by name...

Actually, now that I think of it... Canadian gun laws seem to be kind of schizophrenic at times... For example, magazine limits and our equivalent to SBR rules only apply to semi-automatic center-fire rifles and shotguns... so a Ruger 10/22 SBR w/ 12" barrel and 25 round magazine is the same legal classification as a single shot .22lr (as long as the OAL of the 10/22 remains greater than 26")... Also, attaching things like stocks or forward grips to pistols do not change their legal classification, and can be done at will.

Veeeery interesting. So I could put a VFG on a Glock and be ok. Cool beans. Not that I'd ever wanna do that... Saw a video once of that sort of thing going bad and a 9mm ball round going through a guys hand. That's no fun!

Sweet! Those are really hard to find up here... I only know of 29 that are in the country.

Yep, you could... but you'd probably cry if I told you what you had to go through to get a (legal) pistol here...

Oh, and I saw that video too... makes me cringe just thinking about it.

    I like that PLR16. There's a .22lr version as well.

I'd hate to know. I just go down the street, hand over my hard earned cash, and go home with a new toy 5-10 minutes later.
