My first quest for a supressor
I've always wanted a supressor. After checking them out on youtube and talking with the guys at my local gun shop, it's time to make it happen. I started the thread to give me a time line on my journey. I kinda have an idea on how it works. I've seen the paper work, tax stamps and fees.
Here's where I'm at so far. I wanna put a can on a Sig Sauer Mosquito. I currently have one but it does not have a threaded barrel. So my Sig Mosquito and Sig 250 are on consignment at my local gun shop.
I was told Tactical Solutions makes a nice can for .22lr guns. I can demo one of these when I get my new Sig.
I will update this thread when a makes step in my quest for a supressor Please chime in with any helpful info.
Thank you! JMIS

Re: My first quest for a supressor
I have embarked on the same quest. I took possession of my Walther P22 last week and expect my AAC Element to clear the red tape around the end of the year.
Good luck!

Cheaper isnt always better when buying a can. if you can demo cans ; do it, so you wont be dissapointed...

Re: My first quest for a supressor
Gemtech make a replacement barrrel already threaded 1/2x28tpi. So no adaptor would be needed like with a factory threaded Sig Mosquito.
The cash you'd be putting out for the difference it'ed be cheaper to keep your Sig Mosquito.
Tac-65 is a great can for the cash it costs. It dissassembles for cleaning and you won't be able to tell the difference to your ears. BTDT.Wouldn't you like to know what's in my safe.

Re: My first quest for a supressor
I got a TAC65, and I love it. I've never been able to compair it to another 22lr can, but it sounds pretty quiet to my ears. It gets quieter the more I shoot it.
