Gun Safe Move
I have a heavy gun safe too move from my basement to the second floor.
Anyone no where to rent an "Electric Stair Climbing Hand Truck" in the Reading/Fleetwood area?
They have the normal appliance dolly at some rental locations such as UHaul but I'd like to keep my back in decent shape.
Thanks,

Re: Gun Safe Move
I am not sure if they still do it but French Creek Outfitters moved mine for me when I moved from Limerick to Reading. I forget what they charged me but it was worth every penny becasue it was in my basement with very steep and long stairway.

Re: Gun Safe Move
Check and see if the doors are removeable. That'll make it alot lighter to move.

Re: Gun Safe Move
Depending on the size and weight of your safe, I'd be inclined to hire someone to move it for you. The few hundred bucks may be well spent, especially when you still have full use of your back!
I just googled, "Equipment movers fleetwood" and there are several rigging companies that can probably do the job for you.
Good luck!

Might help save your safe and your floor too... is your upstairs rated for that weight?
