The Village Arms Gap, PA
I did a handgun transfer at The Village Arms yesterday. The staff was VERY friendly and down to earth. Their prices and selection didn't seem that amazing but dealing with the staff made the trip worthwhile. The woman that did our paperwork was helpful and even showed my mother a basic rundown of revolvers when I had her pull a Lady Smith out of the showcase. I think it's rare these days to find a gun shop that isn't full of condescending, know-it-all jerks. They will be seeing my business again.

Re: The Village Arms Gap, PA
Agreed. Sounds like the same lady who helped me. Village arms is where I bought my first gun. I went in looking for a gun like the movies, and I quickly came back down to earth with the help of the staff. I needed a gun for home defense and had never shot before. The woman informed me that a revolver may be best for me (I hadn't even considered a revolver going in), and showed me the Ruger sp 101 .357 mag.
I loved it then and still do several guns and 2500+ rounds later. Long story short, good place, good people, that can really help you out if your new to buying guns.

Gene (the owner) and his whole staff are very nice people. I live right down the road from them and go their often just to look around and get some fresh air. Lol. I bought my first 2 guns from them (XD 9mm Sub-Compact & Ruger LCP). The staff is knowledgable and experienced. Has a pretty decent selection available. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a new shop to check out.

I agree. The entire staff there are good people. Their ammo prices are a tad high but I like to support the local shops when I can. If you reload he has ALOT of Powders, which is usually my go-to place for it.
Gene is the owner and also the gunsmith. His work is exceptional!!!! I have had him do a couple things for me(fixing cracks in laminate stocks and installing muzzlebrakes). If anyone needs anything done I highly recommend him.
