This. It seems like they are implementing damage control because they know that you would have had them by their proverbial balls, should you still decide to sue.

however, there seems to be a lot of internal confusion and contradictions relating to this.
    By design no doubt.

I'm glad to hear something is happening, but I find it hard to believe this is going to lead anywhere other than you getting your gun back, and the LEO's involved walking away squeaky clean.

Although if this does lead to “retraining” ( ) I suppose the next time this sort of thing happens, and it likely will, there may be something to bite into.

This is the best thing I've heard all week...

I don't even open carry, but seeing ONE PERSON make ripples through an entire city that is not abiding by the law is....well....

    a little moving

    GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then, she said something that made me grin. "This all started with your complaint. As a result, that complaint is setting the precedent here, and is hopefully going to make things change to be in compliance with State law."
It only takes one. A shame that someone has to be "an example" and go through something negative though...

Could someone send some rep his way for me, my rep button done broke.

Excellent work, this is absolutely fantastic. I am really glad to hear that they are going to have to answer for this. I think someone might be getting in trouble.

I wouldn't count on it. There certainly isn't any indication or admission that anyone did anything wrong. What's there to answer for? There's no indication that any lawsuits will be forthcoming, so again, what's there to answer for?

Cynical...skeptical...whatever. It's healthy, natural distrust of government. So far, this is lip service by a government agent representing fellow government agents from the same organization.

I hear ya, I'm also doubtful, but if someone in IA got wind of this and is actively investigating (and admitted they are in violation of state law)....I think they passed the point of no return to keep going till it's fixed.

It's ok, there was "no apparent criminal intent"

I agree with the tempered excitement, but I think we should celebrate small victories. Do I think the officers will face discipline? No. Would an average citizen following an illegal policy face criminal charges? Absolutely. But again, small victories.

    Congrats Mark!

Cool Re: Open Carry and The City of Philadelphia - changes may be coming

Open carry w/LTCF - legal anywhere in PA.

City law/ordinance cannot supercede state law.

    Doesn't sound complicated to me.
    I don't speak English , I talk American!
