    Default Remintion tactical

Just returned from my local shop. They had a Remington Model 887™ Nitro Mag Tactical. http://www.remington.com/products/fi...-tactical.aspx

Priced at $409.00. My son asked if I was going to by it for him.

Nice shottie. I'd love to see one in person or see a review or two.

Remington been making tactical shotguns for a long time, way back when they called them trench guns in WW1 & WW2. Should be a good one most PDs been carry them or the 500 Mosseburg for years, so Remington should know how to make a great T shotgun.

I have owned an 887 tactical for several months now and have probably ran 3 or 400 rounds of all manner of ammo through it without a glitch of any kind. The only change I made on mine was to flip my rail from right side to left to mount my light. It definately doesn't have the classic 870 look to it but this weapon has earned it's spot in the safe.

My brother-in-law is a HUGE duck/goose hunter. Loves pump shotguns, has a buttload of experience and one hell of a collection of pump guns to boot.

He bought 2 of the 887 models for hunting last year and he had nothing but problems with both triggers. Remington told him they were aware of the problem and would send him new triggers, but they were back ordered because of still being in developement or something.

He did enough bitching to Remington that they agreed to buy them both back from him including covering his sales tax.

His input on the 887 is, and I quote, "a disgrace to the 870 line up".

Take it for what it's worth, but I passed on that thing and bought an 870P Marine Magnum.

Damn shame thats what "made in america" is nowdays, you should expect more from an american company like Remington. I'm lucky I got one that actually works.

Stick with the 870. It's tried and true and will serve you faithfully.

Nahhh, I wouldn't say that. I did just buy a police model 870 and it's incredible!! Smoothest action on a pump I have ever felt.

I just think they didn't do enough homework before they put the 887 on the market. It is a slick looking piece.

It's also a new design. Most new firearms have teething issues in the beginning.
