Default Intersting night of OC... car accidents and education :)

So, was on my way to pick up some bits and pieces in the wife's Jeep XJ (cherokee sport) when this guy comes out of the blue flying down 51 and rear-ends me, at a pretty good clip from the long skids (about 30ft). Throws the jeep into the car in front of me.

(Im OK, the guy who hit me got carted away on a stretcher, hope he is, and the guy in front and his daughter were OK, jeep faired best out of the 3 vehicles, but is in rough shape... it'll buff / grind / weld out )

So cops come, not even one batt of the eye from any of them about the glock on the hip, or the spare mag holder on the other side.

So, afterwards, continue up to walmart (yes, still driving) and wait for a stock replenishment engineer to get some shelving units... and a guy who has passed me for the 3rd time asks "Is that a real gun?"

me: Yep, why would I carry a fake one?
him: Can you carry it outside like that?
me: sure can, no law against it in the state of PA

We go on to talk about carry licenses, and how when he got his, they said that he had to conceal. said his son just got his LTCF in the mail, which included a Concealed Carry badge .

I gave him some info to head over to PA Open carry, and to here, so hopefully we will see ron around, and he will get some good info. Nice stock lady came back when we were finishing up, mentioned my sidearm, and noted that both her sons carried, and I asked her why she didnt

Recommended they both check out some classes too.

Good day, of sorts. Almost everyone made it out safe, and a few people got some education.

Watch out for symptoms of whiplash. My bro got T-boned by a rig in his work truck and was fine for like 3-4 hours. He even helped clean up the road and shit. Then started feeling really stiff and could barely move. He ended up having to go to the emergency room.

Im hoping that wont be the case, but wonder, because I dont remember much of the inital impact, but do remember the adrenalin surge, made my hands shake pretty bad after.

This. Don't be surprised if you wake up sore as hell. I was rear ended back in Dec of 2009, oddly enough, in a YJ (wrangler for you non jeep folks) also on RT 51 in Overbrook. 9 months later, I'm still in physical therapy, going to the chiropractor, recently got an MRI and a visit to neurologist. I have two bulging discs in my neck, and still suffer from numbness, spasms, general soreness, etc. The prognosis is pretty dim. Neuro wont do surgery, 6 more weeks of PT, and gave me another bottle of Vicodin for the pain. Basically said to live with the pain. The bad part is I hold a CDL and drive for a gov agency. Oddly enough they have a thing about taking opiates while at work. So, because of a "minor" (25 mph) rear end collision, I am still in pain and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. Yay me....

I hope you fair much better than I....

Those XJs were great vehicles. I had one and my dad has one now.
Happy to hear you made it out well.
I've never seen a CCW Badge, and don't quite understand the point of it.

Just got the police report.... idiocy was not the only factor in this. Was able to go clean out my stuff fromt he XJ.

If luck has it, we will have 2 of them soon, a 2001 and a 96, and the older one is mine for the playing
